Once I found the opening (at R11C9), it flowed very linearly and didn't require any guess-and-check. Nice and smooth puzzle, but 4* is way overrated to me.

Interesting. Somewhere in there I ended up taking a different path that wasn't straightforward (at least when I was solving it). Perhaps I simply missed something. I'll have to go back and double check what I missed.

Agree with zulio, it is pretty straightforward after the break-in, definitely not a 4*.

To connect4: The thing with hitori is that if you are not systematic with marking the consequences of your moves it might really be hard to realize that later. Very easy to lose the flow if it makes a turn.
