Hi, I was just wondering what the colon stands for in Alphametics puzzle (nr. 965). I was thinking it may stand for a ratio, but I'm not sure how that would work in a puzzle like this.

Edit: Sorry if I put this in the wrong sub-forum. I wasn't sure if I should put it in this one or in Puzzle Feedback.

It is intended to be a division operator here. Perhaps I should replace it by '/'...?

Oh, ok. I didn't realize it was supposed to be division, so perhaps you should replace it with '/' so no one else gets confused.

I notice this was never changed, and occurs in a number of puzzles. Would it be possible to change them to use the conventional division symbol, to avoid confusion?

So far, I have spotted it in #965, #1238 and #1797, but there may be others.
