I know this is quite an amount of work, but could you (the judges) please look through the older puzzles in the vestibule? I have a puzzle (3653) that's been in there for nearly 9 months (since the last edit), but I haven't received any comments about it since. I'm sure other people have puzzles that have also been kept in the vestibule for an long time (at least 3 months by my definition). I have a feeling there are many forgotten gems hidden in the older parts of the vestibule.

Who else here is in a similar situation, with what puzzle IDs?

I have one that has been in the vestibule for 12 months. It's #3060 but that's misleading, because it sat around in my sandbox for a while and then I completely changed it. However, it is on the more difficult side and maybe a little tedious, so I'm not surprised it's still there.

But have some patience. I had a puzzle that was in the vestibule for 17 months before being verified, but then it was! Especially if the puzzle is of a genre for which it is maybe a little hard to prove that there are no other solutions, it can take some extra time and effort. And I'm sure it's quite a job to verify all these puzzles. One of the best things about this site is that puzzles with multiple (or wrong) solutions very rarely get published. Puzzles that are easily proven generally are approved much quicker.

I also have a (Panorama) puzzle in the vestibule for over 9 months (#3742), but a judge has already commented on it that he tried it, but couldn't solve it. I guess it's mostly with the difficult puzzles (4-5 stars) which take a while before a judge can verify it.

If some puzzles take so long to verify by the judges because it is too much work, I'd be happy to become a judge an help verifying puzzles. For (almost) all puzzles I've solved, I've also proven the uniqueness of the solution, and there are quite some genres where I solved all puzzles, so I think I can help out with many puzzles...
