As per the title, please submit your genre requests here! If a genre is popular enough, we will implement it if possible. Below are the genres that have been suggested and their stati.

"Laser Logic", suggested by pillsbury14 - Unimplemented. (Rules unknown, if pillsbury14 could clarify, that'd be much appreciated.)
Number Path (aka Snail) - Unimplemented.
Spotlight - Unimplemented.
Squares - Unimplemented.
Starseeker (aka Diamonds And Arrows) - Unimplemented.
Campixu - Unimplemented.
Doppelblock - Unimplemented.
Sashigane - Unimplemented.
Five Cells - Unimplemented.
Takuzu - Unimplemented.
Alcazar - Unimplemented.
Tight Fit Sudoku - Unimplemented.
Rising - In progress.
Norinori - In progress.
Creek - In progress.
Yajisan Kazusan - In progress.
Nanro - In progress.
Chaos - Our judges need to create more puzzles before we can release this!
E??????? - Our judges need to create more puzzles before we can release this!
H????w?k????? - Our judges need to create more puzzles before we can release this!

I really hope this poll works and allows one to change their options. (EDIT: It seems that the poll is broken, so it'll have to be manual voting instead.)

EDIT: On suggestion from Valvino, I have added rules in English when possible, and rules in foreign languages if there are no English rules.

Note that Campixu has a variant in which the number of continuous shaded blocks are not given.

RE-EDIT: It seems that the poll is broken, so it'll have to be manual voting instead.

Thanks for tidying this up Eddie - looks like I had better put my author hat back on for a while...

3D Sudoku and Tight fit Sudoku. You can find these variations on" Mutant Sudoku - Thomas Snyder, Wei-Hwa Huang".
I also recommend Brick Sudoku.

I unfortunately do not own that book, so I have had to search online. Tight Fit Sudoku is different enough from regular Sudoku in terms of the solver, so that has been added to the voting list. Brick Sudoku also has very different rules, but can be implemented using the same solver, so we will instead implement custom rulesets (it's on our list of goals, trust me!)

I was unable to find the rules of 3D Sudoku. I assume it is published on Thomas Snyder's blog under the name Isodoku? If so, we'll put that on the voting list after confirmation.

3D sudoku is like this:

Fill in 1 to 8 digits on every row, in every column, and every area of 8 cells that is bordered by a thicker line. The rows and columns wrap around the faces of the box.

Yep, sounds like Isodoku to me. Added to the poll it is.

I think voting buttons are not working. I clicked a button for Sashigane but there was no change.

That's funny, it's working for me. Can anyone else help confirm this?

Hi there, sorry to be a pain but would it be possible to put up links to example puzzles / rules for these genres, just for clarity on some of them.

Also could I suggest nanro as a genre for consideration.

Very well on both accounts. I'll get to it right away. In the meantime, could you please check if voting works for you?

I put in a vote for Yajisan Kazusan yesterday and it counted at the time, and has since been put forward for implementation. Hope this helps
