PuzzlePicnic definitely seems to have died!
No one cares, the administrators have been missing for months. Too bad that you do not get info!

I just hope the founders and developers and administrators are all still alive and well. They have provided me (and I'm sure many others too) with much enjoyment.

Seconded - I tried sending a PM to Thierry, but I don't know if it was received - it's not showing up in my inbox, so maybe that's broken, too.

I really hope we can get through to someone soon.

Having completely died off for some weeks, it seems like it's been resurrected!

I'm glad it's back, but would be good if someone posted an explanation of the outage. I'm not particularly confident that it's not going to vanish again.

Hi, I am (was?) a judge at Puzzlepicnic. We are all aware that there are problems with this site. The main problem is that everyone working on this site does this on a voluntary basis, usually in addition to a full time job and other commitments.

Speaking for myself, I'm doing less puzzling in the last couple of years then I did back when I was an active judge, and my interest has faded a bit. I actually haven't logged on this website for months. Also after today, I probably won't be a regular user (at least for the foreseeable future).

So don't expect any big changes or major bugfixes on this website in the near future. That will not happen, unless one of the developers suddenly finds a lot of free time to devote on this website. I know that is unfortunate, because this is a very nice site, despite its shortcomings.

Finally about the outages, I think there are cases in which this site crashes (did I already mention that this site has bugs?), and someone (not me) has to manually reset it. I will try to see if we can find a simple solution to make sure the website won't be down for too long anymore.

Any chance of additional volunteers being accepted into the sites' staff?
I'm sure some of the intelligent puzzlers frequenting PP might have the know-how to help update and maintain it. If there's still an admin around who is able to welcome them into the role.
