Is there any puzzle type that you would like to see on this website that is currently missing? If you let us know, we might introduce it.

Snakes, you know, it's the one where you have to trace the path of a snake around a grid given only the number of occurances of the snake in each row and column

Cheers,

"MATH MAZES" are nice. It's similar to nonogram. I will describe an example that I am taking out of "Dell, Math Puzzles and Logic Problems, September 2004". (I do not know how to make up my own example).

8x8 grid with the upper left corner square being the starting point, and the bottom right corner being the end. Above the 8 columns are the following numbers respectively: 7,3,3,3,7,3,8,1. And to the left of the 8 rows are the following numbers: 4,3,3,3,6,1,7,8. These numbers tell you how many squares in each row and column are used. And by process of elimination you form a path from Start to Finish just as in a maze.

Isn't that like one giant snake?
Or is the result a complete maze with sidetracks and such? That sounds nice.
After solving the puzzle, one can earn bonus points for solving the maze

As I understand, it should be one big loop, but the difference with snakes is that it may touch itself. Am I right? This puzzle type is also known under the name "meander", I think.

Mazes with sidetracks also sound interesting, but may be hard to get unique... That also sounds related to Nurikabe (or "islands in the stream") that was mentioned before, since the nurikabe/stream is essentially a maze.

You are right, it is similar to snakes, no sidetracks, just one long line from start to finish. Line does touch itself but no intersections. It's interesting to hear of the other names for it...

I added functionality for highlighting diagonals to support diagonal sudoku.
