I agree! It wasn't my intention to make it harder but just to throw in an easier one
nice one! interesting how this puzzle develops into a bit more complex in the end

thanks HappyDog! I Was put a little bit under pressure (in a positive way) by Fl0rrat to develop this type of puzzle. the first version was a simple 'chessboard' type puzzle but without any interaction between consecutive rows and colums. I like this version much more.
Sorry, Sesquideus! I am very grateful that at least one judge (connect4) is judging the puzzles so most of the challenging puzzles are stalling. It's not my style to downgrade the difficulty, but it seems to be the only way to keep the process going of releasing 1 puzzle a day.
Thank you!
I was aiming at developing a level 1 'tents and trees' but surprisingly this one is harder to solve than expected. This may be because different strategies are to be combined while each strategy in itself is trivial.
Thank you!

In my opinion FlOrrat is right in stating that the main issue is the process of verifying. According this website there are 7 judges (Bram, connect4, Murat, Eranus, apollo1001, edderiofer and fl0rrat) but it seemed to me that - at this moment - only 1 or two are active (connect4 and Fl0rrat, and flOrrat indicates lack of time). Wouldn't it be better to get more judges?
Besides that, I hope there will be an update for the studio so more PP-lovers will join in developing new great puzzles.
Let me finish by stating that I am a great admirer of this site! I would grant more puzzlers to join us
the clue is in the '1' underneath the 7th column
Thanks Nyancharov. Nice pattern with the numbers! It took me a bit to solve it. It felt harder than 1 star, although eventually straightforward to solve.

Since the last Mac OS update (Big Sur) I have severe rendering issues with my Firefox workaround.
Instead of spending hours for me in fixing this workaround it would be better to get a normal working PP Studio.
Are there any plans to update Studio?

Nice puzzle, Wouter! I am glad you are up and running again as a developer
Yesterday (saturday Sept 5th 20) a very nice stream islands puzzle by anurag.sahay. I love these types of puzzles but it intrigues me how to develop these puzzles. Would it be a suggestion to exchange the professional skills on developing puzzles in general? Of course also by this means inviting PP-enthusiasts to develop their own?
thanks, Fl0rrat!
