That's a very nice puzzle but I don't really get the 3* thingy. There's an obvious 50/50 guess spot from the get go..

TBH I agree with you - then again I find it really hard to rate the difficulty of the puzzles I design, what with knowing how they were constructed and all. For this puzzle it's fairly easily to guess your way through it, but where's the fun in that!?

I think I put it on the 2/3 star border, jumped down by now. It's one of those puzzles that solves really quickly if you guess, but figuring it out logically take a while. You really have to analyse one side only, but still it's not exactly easy.

This doesnt really yield with guesswork either. The right half is really tricky.Easily 3* stuff, especially for the novice.

The right side? What do you mean? The puzzle is 100% symmetric under 90 degree rotation so you only need to solve a quarter, and by uniqueness all quarters need to go the same way. So you just need to pick the right way to go with the 012 in the lower right.

There is your problem. Uniqueness is provable and hence not really a valid clue in my opinion. One could, however, rotate any reasoning 90 degrees to obtain such a result (as it is guaranteed to work).
